Recently I joined an a
cappella group and we have been using social media to spread our
work. We have a soundcloud page that got over a thousand listens
within the first two days. Souncloud is a site where you can host
music and others can comment on specific points in your songs.
Our group performed some of
our favorite christmas songs. Though we have no experience in a
cappella I think we ended up creating a lot of songs that were better
than the originals. Some others involved in the group are Mark Houck,
Seth Christman, and even Andrew Dean all of who are in our class.
I attribute some of our
success to the songs that we covered. We did some unique versions of
the most popular songs on the radio today. Some songs you will find
on the album incl
ude Wrecking Ball, Roar, and even Royals.
The goal of our group is to
reinvent music and I think we have done an incredible job. There is
nothing like it,
I personally made all of
the album art. Having been a graphic design major last year, I really
knew how to make an album cover that was up to professional
standards.
