I recently watched The Perks
of Being a Wallflower again. I love this movie! The movie is based on the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I remember seeing previews
for movie and thinking it looked like a good film. When I finally sat down to
watch it after the DVD release, I loved it and bought it shortly after. I loved
the storyline and the cast in the film. The screenplay was written and directed
by the author of the book, Stephen Chbosky, and stars Logan Lerman as Charlie,
Emma Watson as Sam, and Ezra Miller as Patrick. I thought it was really cool
that the author of the book also wrote the screenplay and directed the movie. The
story follows high school student, Charlie who is an introverted freshman and
doesn’t have any friends. Seniors, Patrick and Sam, take him in and open a new
world to him. Charlie deals with his mental illness and insecurities throughout
the movie. This film goes into Charlie’s past, so you get a sense of who he is.
There are many different topics in this movie that are very relatable. If you
haven’t seen this movie yet, I definitely recommend it!
