The Maker - Life is What You Make It

Wandering around on youtube watching various animated shorts I stumbled upon this one. It's simply called: "The Maker". I'm not one to be super-duper amazed at stop motion (the little creases when they bend kind of bother me lol) but this was amazing. I was like "Aww, a cute little bunny thing with human teeth." I'm gonna go on a limb here and say this is probably my favorite stop motion film.
Why was I impressed? Well, the animation is so beautiful and smooth, the way the eye balls tilt in his head and that ridiculous moment where he was sewing. That sewing movement seems like it would take such a long time to do, maybe it doesn't, but it was so well done that it blew my mind. The antique-glow lighting gives it an eerie feel but it's actually a touching story. It starts out kinda randomly, but by the end it makes complete sense and I was very impressed by how the story loops in a way.
So at first I thought, aww that's sweet, he's making himself a friend. Then near the end when I realized what he was doing, I cried like a little baby. It was so sad. Beautiful, but sad. This is an amazing piece of animation. I love the character designs, they're so unique and adorable (to me anyway). I love that the music in the background also even plays a role in this film. I just... I can't explain how amazing this is. The best 6-ish minutes of my night. lolz
