So, I’ve been a fan of the band Poets of the Fall for about a year now, and I absolutely adore their music. Each song is deep and meaningful. I was recently listening to the song Dawn, and I found myself really getting into the lyrics. This song is really good for anyone that is struggling right now. I put the video down below. If you want to read the lyrics, they are in the description of the video. Hope you guys enjoy! :)
One of my favorite lines from the song is: “Remembrance can be a sentence…”. It’s amazing how true this is. In life, sometimes, we are reminded of our struggles and past wrongs by just a simple sentence or single word. It can be so easy to relive the harsh memories of our past, and it’s never easy to move on. However, as the song goes on, the next lyric is “...,but it comes to you with a second chance in tow”. The artist is trying to communicate that even though our past tragedies are difficult to live with, they allow us a second chance in life. We shouldn’t block out all of the bad thoughts, but use them to help others with their struggles and even come to terms with our own. We shouldn’t focus on the negative side of life. We should use our experiences to learn about ourselves and to keep a positive outlook on the world because in the end, our struggles will only make us stronger.
