The Final Solution

Having watched and rewatched World of Glory in and out of class, I feel like the way the movie was filmed was directly intentional; the stiff stance he takes in every scene and the silence of the world around him is indicative of how he feels. He's unable to move on from his past, and it's as if the world ignores him, knowing his former sins and punishing him with their apathy. At least that's how I see it. As I watched it a second time, I was reminded of a song written and played by Sabaton; The Final Solution.

Indeed, the way the song communicates the terror of what the Final Solution was, you can easily understand why the main individual in the movie was the way he was... why he acted the way he did. He was disgusted and ashamed of himself for what he'd done, for taking away the lives of so many humans. Take some time and listen to the words of the song and remember the first and last scenes in World of Glory. You'll feel what I'm talking about.
