Nice Pitching!

I practically grew up on a ball diamond so it’s no wonder that Funimation’s Big Windup! caught my attention! This adorable little anime only has 2 seasons (Only the first one is Dubbed but you can find the second season subbed) but the characters are so painstakingly believable you can’t help but love them!

The main character is Mihashi Ren, a freshman at Nishuria High School and loves to pitch. But he has low self esteem because of his middle school team. Without trying to he ends up pitching at the baseball club’s first meeting to. His catcher is a surly, mother hen like, Abe Takaya. He sees Mihashi’s pitches are than what they seem to be. Each character has their quirks, such as Tajima who is an excellent athlete or Coach Momokan with her bizarre training methods (Or orange juice making methods…).
I’m horrible at doing synopses. Anyways, to all of you baseball lovers or anime fans out there, I HIGHLY suggest you watch this crazy and adorable show. Fair warning though, you will fall in love with these characters (EVERY LAST ONE) and they will break your heart over and over again but dfjbhalksdf. I LOVE THIS SHOW AND YOU SHOULD TOO.

P.S. Seriously though go watch the show. You won’t regret it. OH. And there’s a manga so if you really get hooked go read it because the manga has so many little itty-bitty things the anime couldn’t fit in.
