Besides Doctor Who and Marvel, as well as, many other things. Firefly is very inspiring to me. If you do not know already or have only seen the movie Serenity, which I will talk about later. Firefly is an American space western drama television series created by writer and director Joss Whedon. The story follows Malcolm Reynolds(Nathan Fillion), his crew, and the adventures they have together. Firefly is the impossible show. It was a futuristic cowboy esk show before its time. Its one of the few if not only shows that became popular with a huge following/fanbase, after it was canceled into its first season. Ever since it was taken off air the fan base has remained strong in the following and passion for the show. With the unity of the fans the show was able to make a comeback with a movie called Serenity also written and directed by Joss Whedon in honor of the fans. Thats something that has never happened before in the history of media. A movie after the show was canceled. Simply put it is the impossible show. The show is fantastic and I highly suggest a watch if you haven't seen the series especially if you have only seen the movie. I am writing this blog about the documentary just published signifying its survival of 15 years and never dying out despite its cancellation during the first season of the show. It was a fantastic documentary and conveyed just how passionate the fans are.
