Midnight in Paris
Midnight in Paris is an American 2011 romantic comedy fantasy film written and directed by Woody Allen. I saw this film just a couple of weeks before college started and I thought It was fantastic. So I thought I would share this film on the blogs. I found the concept to be highly amusing and the romantic aspect to not be overwhelming in fact it takes quite a back seat for a lot of the film. In this film the viewers follow the story of Gil Pender (Owen Wilson) a screenwriter who travels to Paris with his fiancee (Rachel McAdams). As the story continues we discover Gil having to deal with the shortcomings of his materialistic fiancee. He travels back to Paris in the 1820’s one evening where he meets F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, and many more. I enjoyed the insight of this beautiful time period and the famous characters we know today whom were beautifully portrayed. The ending of the movie is quite interesting as well. I decided not to link the trailer because it was poorly edited giving a completely wrong idea as to what the whole movie is about. I strongly suggest giving it a view as I found it to be inspiring and hope you would too.
