A little bird asked, “Mommy why does the sun hide
You said it was always there but you lied
When the clouds come out, the sun goes away
But you taught me that it was here to stay
You would think that the light source would be number one.”
Then the mom bird smiled and pointed to the sky
“One day you’ll see
that I did not lie
The clouds and rain are not more powerful
Only your perspective makes things seem awful
You’re going to walk on the clouds one day
You’re going to see that the sunshine never went away
But when you push through what shrouds
Through hard work, break through the clouds
You can change your perspective
Look at things with a new objective
So through clouds and rain, the little bird pushed through
To see if what his mother had said was true
After all his hard work and over the clouds he topped
He did not walk, but in the sunshine he hopped
