Destino

Originally beginning in 1945, Walt Disney and Salvador Dali collaborated on a short film whose production was eventually halted indefinitely. 58 years later, however, the project was picked back up by animators and finished based on the storyboards that were left behind.
This film is absolutely fantastic. I have no idea what it means, but it was so wonderful to watch and try to get meaning out of! It was hard to believe that two great artists of that time would get together and work on something like this; I was completely convinced it wasn't possible and it must have been faked, but then I did some(very light) research and found it to be true! It also becomes very evident in the film:
It was interesting to see something from Disney that wasn't a happy fairy tale musical or Mickey Mouse, and it was almost as if getting to take a peek at another side of Disney. Dali, too, did a fantastic job, and you can easily recognize his concepts throughout the film because of his unique style. Both of their styles mixed produced a very engaging short and a very cool effect! I think this is meant to be a challenge piece, but I enjoyed it more than anything else.
