So I watched my first movie since I stopped doing the blogs and it hit me. The reason we did them in class was so that we would want to share what we like and think of media. Why should we stop right when we started to get the hang of it? If I remember correctly The Leepster wanted us to continue after the class, so I will abligue (spelling is not my strength).
Anyway, I just got to watch for the second time in my life one of my favorite movies...Summer Wars. It is a charming animated movie I found by accident at the library many years ago and I have been trying to find it online lately, but due to certain computer restraints I have'haven't been able to. I will put the link to it at the bottom. Anyway, the movie does a great job of changing the situation n you over and over again. One second you all like WOOT then the next your all like NO WAY! Another great thing about this movie is the animati
on. They have SO many things moving in just the the simplest of parts. I can only imagine how many man hours it took to make this movie.
Over all this movie is a classic to me and I highly suggest you watch it because it has something for everyone, plus half way through it brings in an element that makes you think about our world today. I don't want to give away anything so just WATCH IT!!! Hope you all continue to blog and have a Merry Christmas :D

Death Note
Death, a series made by Tsugumi Ohba, focuses on a death god named Ryuk, a student named Light Yagami, and the world foremost detective, L. Ryuk, on an impulse of boredom, drops his "death note" into the human world where it is found by Light. The death note has a peculiar characteristic: anyone whose name is written in its pages will die. Discovering this, Light goes on a righteous crusade to cleanse the world of all evil doers under the guise of "the god of justice, Kira." In the process, he crosses fates with L, who will stop at nothing to see that identity behind "Kira" is brought to true justice.
Of all the anime in my dossier, this is one I'd recommend to anyone, especially those who perhaps aren't familiar with some of the more outlandish aspects of anime. Death Note is founded in the modern day real world, and is all about cat and mouse, strategy and tactics. Conan Doyle would be proud of this series.
Trigun
An anime about a man named "Vash the stampede" and the two Bernardelli Insurance Society employees who follow him around in order to minimize the damages inevitably caused by his appearance. Most of the damage attributed to Vash is actually caused by bounty hunters in pursuit of the "60,000,000,000$$" (sixty billion "double dollars") bounty on Vash's head for the destruction of the city of July. However, he cannot remember the incident due to retrograde amnesia, being able to recall only fragments of the destroyed city and memories of his childhood past. and also Vash is also a pacifist. so watch this western space theme comedy and enjoy the blast.
School of Rock (Double Blog Credit)
When Jack Black first crashed his way on the silver screen
in the blockbuster hit, “School of Rock” I was initially surprised by the movie.
Some may not know this but, all of the children in the movie that play
instruments actually play them in real life. They performed all of their music
for the film and soundtrack; to have such skill at a young age is truly
awe-inspiring. Through my first viewing I found the movie very painful to
watch, knowing fully well that eventually the school was going to find out that
he wasn’t a teacher. However, I applaud the movies extent of rock and roll
trivia. I feel that Jack Black had to play a subdued version of his usual
characters, and it really drew back a lot of his potential. Another fun note,
Miranda Cosgrove got her career jumpstart from this film signing on with
Nickelodeon for Drake & Josh and later taking the main role for iCarly. I
did find it a shame that almost all of those skilled kid musicians were unable
to hit it big from that movie. “School of Rock” was quite a fun ride. Its
subtle humors as well as, its jokes hit close to home. Jack Black was entertaining, but still lacked
that special flair he’s known for. All in all, I give School of Rock a 7/10.
SKET Dance
An anime about the living assistance club (aka S.K.E.T) at the Kaimei High School, was organized to help students with problems big and small. most of the time they just hang around in their club room, bored with only a few problems floating around in every once in a while. in spite of this they still put up all their energy into solving all these worries. this is was a good anime that I like, but it only has 77 episode which I didn't like the ending because it got more people but for less time and other stuff.
Pokemon X and Y
Pokemon got a new game version for the Nintendo 3DS systems. and it tradition 2D sims got a new kick to it and got turn into 3D sims.with new pokemon and a new pokemon type, the fairy type. so play throughout the new region of the pokemon world in the story of awesomeness. I like the new thing in it too. like the Mega Evolution and hidden abilities.also it has new enemies to this game and their way of theirs. so if you are a fan of the pokemon games, you should get it, it is only on the Nintendo 3DS.
The Notorious Cliff Hanger
I hate them. The cliff hanger that is. Sure I understand why the are utilized. The cliff hanger provides suspense and offers the audience to take the scene and scenario into perspective and form their own conclusions. I also can see why filmmakers would utilize the notorious cliff hanger. But that does not change my displeasure behind the cliff hanger. I like to have closure on a story and I tend to personally connect with the characters and to be deprived of any form of closure really frustrates me. My biggest frustration of late is Prisoners. A few weeks ago my family came down to Huntington and took me out to watch Prisoners and it was great! Except for the fact (spoiler) that it ended on a cliff hanger. I remember staring at the screen and whispering "turn around" to the cop on the screen. When he finally turned around what happens? The music escalates and the words Prisoner appears then the credits appear!! What is that! It leaves you completely hanging. What happens to Hugh Jackman's character? Does he go to jail? Be reconciled with his family? Its just an unacceptable ending! It does not satisfied my need for closure. As a strategic form of filmmaking ... it is brilliant because it allows the audience to engage in critical thinking and make inferences toward what occurs. As a filmmaking strategy the cliffhanger is a brilliant thing. It will make the audience want to watch a sequel or another work that the filmmaker creates. As a story element the cliff hanger just sucks!
Animaniacs
Growing
up Animaniacs was one of my absolutely favorite cartoons. Originally broadcast
on the WB network in the 90’s, Animaniacs was created by Steven Spielberg who
used his Hollywood connections to get the rights to celebrity and copyrighted
media in the cartoon. The plot centers around Yakko and Wakko, the Warner
Brothers and the Warner sister, Dot. Three manic Cat-Dog-Things? That create
havoc around the Warner Bros. film studios. Accompanying this cartoon, are
several different cartoons jam-packed into the show. Some examples include:
Buttons and Mindy – A parody of
Lassie, Buttons the dog chases after Mindy, his masters’ little girl, who
always wanders into trouble. Buttons goes to great lengths to save her only to
be reprimanded once he gets home.
Goodfeathers – A parody of the Goodfellas, Bobby, Pesto, and
Squit are three pidgeons that get into all kinds of trouble, only to taught a
tough lesson from the Godpidgeon.
Pinky and the Brain – Two lab mice,
one a genius and the other insane, that secretly try to come up with ways to
take over the world.
Slappy the Squirrel – A retired
slapstick cartoon star teaches her nephew what real comedy is.
Animaniacs also contained several
jokes and innuendos that, while watching again as an adult, can be understood
with an older mind.
Toy Story Review
Everyone should at least love Toy Story. I love Toy Story because it is awesome animation film. Tim Allen and Tom hanks played a good character like Woody and Buzz. We realizing that Andy is growing in the two movies of Toy Story. Then We see him going off to College. The adventure when Andy is not their when the toys talk and coming to life.
In the first Toy Story Woody and Buzz at first didn't like each other. They were starting to see who favorite toy for Andy to love. Woody and Buzz stop Zed bullying the toys.
The Second Toy Story Woody and Buzz know trust each other. Woody got stuck at the Garage Sales and the guy take what ever woody was in. The buzz and the gang goes to rescue Woody from the guy. Buzz finds out who is father was.
The Third Toy Story Andy getting ready for College. Andy want to take Woody to college, but the buzz and gang does not want Andy and woody to not to go to college. AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN
So for my last post I want to blog about my favorite TV show at the moment; American Horror Story Coven. The show follows the story of a group of witches living in a coven in New Orleans. Within the witches there is always a Supreme, the Supreme is the witch that develops almost every power while a regular witch has only a few.
Fiona Goode is the Supreme at the moment, her daughter Cordelia hates her because she is not a good mom; however, they join forces to fight against Voodoo queen, Marie Laveau. The four young witches; Nan, Madison, Queenie and Zoe deal with the fact that one of them is going to be the next Supreme, and this creates rivalry between them. Overall, the show is so great because it has a great plot that develops and twists very often which keeps the show juicy. This season of AHS is definitely more glamorous and bitchy than the others. While the witches fight evil forces they wear Prada and Gucci.
This season is also more dark-comedy than the others because of the fact that the main characters are all women and they all want attention and love and they are all very competitive and bitchy. If you have not seen this I highly recommend it, the series has a lot of witchcraft and pop culture references that makes it entertaining and incredible.

Dastardly, Nefarious Villains part 5
For
anyone who is a fan of the Legend of Zelda series you should be very well
versed in our next villain, Ganondorf. Ganondorf is the Prince of thieves,
Wizard-king of the desert Gerudo tribe, and wielder of the Triforce of Power.
Sometimes known as Ganon, he represents the recurring type of villain.
Throughout every generation, every era Ganondorf reincarnates and resumes his
conquests of Hyrule. This kind of villain establishes a special kind of rapport
with the audience, one that creates a level of expectation from them.
Ganondorf
is locked in an eternal struggle of good and evil with Link, the Legendary
Hero, and Zelda, the princess of fate; bound in a curse intertwining their destinies
for all of time. Each one possesses a piece of the legendary Triforce, and
Ganondorf must recover the other two pieces from the others. As is often the problem with recurring
villains, many of the tactics and conflicts are clichéd and reused again and
again. Ganondorf’s plot is very predictable as a major theme in the Zelda
series is recurring people, places, and objects. People tend to gravitate to
the norm and the same, resulting in an innate attraction to the familiar.
"…Though this is not
the end. My hate... never perishes. It is born anew in a cycle with no
end!" — Demise (Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword)
Video Games not bad at all... I gues
Video games have done more
good than bad. Some of them teach us important life lessons through
storytelling, others have contributed to the economic movement, all of them
have provided entertainment to us, they have provided skills that can still be
developed, as well as knowledge a boarding various topics within the
storytelling.
With strategic games I have learn to control my temper and just try harder and give my best. Gamers develop the sense of logic and reasoning because of the immersion into the story telling. Gamers are exposed to many stressful situations in which they had reacted. Consequently they had to take action over those situations. The decisions they have taken, and the results obtain is where they learn how to correctly react to stress situations. Since gamers have being exposed to tense moments, they use their brains to get out in the less damaged, easiest, reasonable way to get out of difficulties.

To play is good, obviously take a
measure, don’t spend all time playing it, but to play for a reason is better!
There are some companies that will make donations as you play or buy products
from them. Yeah I know, consumerist culture. But at least is not that bad at all.
The image below says more about it. What a pity that media communications are
not interesting in spreading the good of the new. L
PS: I found the picture on a fun website I like to visit very often named 9gag just to let you know!
Hedgehog in the Fog
Though i'm a live action major I really enjoy watching animation videos. One of my favorite animation videos this semester is Hedgehog in the Fog. The video was directed by Yuriy Norshteyn and it is said to be one of his best works and one of the best animated videos in history.
The video is ten minutes long and it tells the story of a little hedgehog that gets lots in the forest while going to visit his friends. While in the forests the fog starts getting thicker and suddenly all kinds of normal things start to look scary to the hedgehog.
I was really, really impressed by how Yuriy made the fog because it looked great. The style of the film looks like paper cut-outs and I like that. The film has Christian inspirations here and there. I agree with the critics in that this film is one of the greatest films; I don't even know what to say about this film, it is just adorable and and cute.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
A couple of weeks of ago I watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and it was quite delightful. I was very impressed by the production values and the live orchestra. I was expecting something slightly better than my high school's production, but everything looked very professionally done.
The entire cast gave incredible performances, but the real stars of the show were Sean and Sam. When Sean did his axe jump on the table I was on the edge of my seat. Sean and Sam danced with such grace and ability that they really stole the show. Overall, it was a fantastic play and I would see it again if I had the chance. 10/10
BATTLEBLOCK THEATER
BattleBlock Theater, a 2D side scroller, is insane in every way. Not too many have heard of this game, and it's a shame. It cam from Behemoth, a game studio that has been around for several years, and it's their third official game. Now, these aren't retail games, but downloadable games that can be purchased from the comfort of your living room at $10-15. BattleBlock, however, is the craziest one yet for a few reasons, primarily the way the story is told.
The game hooks everyone in with it's insane action and lovely colors, the story would be expected to come second, but it nearly prevails. The game starts out with a crash land on a remote island populated by crazy cats. Your "king" figure is then captured by the cats and becomes possessed by the evil hat. That's all your given until you beat the different worlds. After each world is beaten, a new cutscene occurs revealing more and more. There isn't much I can say without spoiling, but one can imagine how amazing a story involving crazy felines would turn out.
As I said, this isn't too known to gamers, let alone the public. It was released solely on the Xbox 360's arcade as a digital only game, but it's phenomenal. Anyone who loves insanity, animation, or cats, should buy this game now, they won't regret it.

Drake Drake He's our man if he can't do it no one can. Well okay he isn't that fantastic, but many people still look up to him and find deep meaning in his lyrics and in him in general.
I just have a thing in my brain that when I'm about to do something that's genuine or authentic, I think of it in song form. I'll be like, 'Yo, this is a human emotion that no one talks about.'
Drake
Like yo for serious. Okay I do like him and his songs, but my main reason for posting on this, seeing as its my last blog post would be this song by Drake. Started from the bottom now we're here. I had the fewest blog posts of anyone at the beginning of this week. I checked! And now i am here. Finished. I have learned a lot in this class and I appreciate everyone's effort in these blog postings. I really noticed a lot of good insight.

A simple and humble post on my taste in music...MOTOWN all day every day son!!!
Some people will make fun of you for the music you're into but I'm not ashamed to admit that Im not really into to rap or rave music that much. Don't get me wrong, those are cool styles, if fact I think every style has something to offer...except country...sorry taylor swift, your break up beats just ain't my thing. Just kiddin even country has something too offer..just not much ;)
I'm also not ashamed to admit that my main preferred style of music is classic R&B soul/pop. No where. NO WHERE do you find better examples of that style than from good ol' Motown records. Because I hail from the Detroit area, you could make the argument that I'm biased for the music of my beloved motor city...my response being...that ain't all there is to it but it sure helps!
To express my love for this label Id like to list my top 5 Motown songs. I cant promise that this wont change for me since I find new songs from the label I love all the time. Because each of these songs is so special to me it is difficult to choose one over the others however I will do my best to pick which I think stands out best as the definitive "Motown sound."
5. I want you back-the Jackson 5-1969
Kicking off the list is the song that gave the boy who would become "the king of pop" his humble start. Starting off with a sweeping piano slide, the song kicks into a solid guitar groove backed by a groovy base line. The drums kick in backed by a beautiful orchestra and little Michael Jackson does what he does best. The song made these 5 brothers from Gary, IN an overnight sensation and catapulted them into national stardom.
4. I dont know why I love you-Stevie Wonder-1968
By this time Stevie Wonder had established himself as a solid singer and entertainer. This may not be the most remembered of his songs but in my opinion it is definitely one of the most heartfelt and passionate. Going from silence to a few deep guitar notes, the song slowly gains momentum, from simple guitars for background to a full scale orchestra with a killer brass section as the singer describes his confusion over continually loving a girl who mistreats and cheats on him. Just fantastic.
3. Ain't nothing like the real thing-Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell-1968
This song was part of a series of duets done by well known Motown veterans Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. The song is special because the feelings the two artists had for each other really shine through with the sweeping orchestration and harp playing, all while being assisted by a steady drum beat. Unfortunately Terrell passed away young around the age of 24 or 25, leaving Gaye traumatized, but listening to the beauty of this song can remind us of a happier time in life for these two.
2. Baby I need your lovin'-The Four Tops-1964
This group of friends from Detroit hit it big when they got hired by the biggest label in the country...which just so happened to be in their own city! They had already had a hit by the time this song was released but this gem became one of signature staples the Motown sound. With a strong brass section and a beautiful string section following the drum beat plus the pure soul of Levi Stubb's lead vocals, this song remains a classic for a reason.
1. Ain't too proud too beg-The Temptations-1966
Finally we have no. 1. What can I say. IT'S THE FREAKIN' TEMPTATIONS!! These guys are the singers who set a standard for soul groups who followed. Any vocal group who wanted to be something in soul music copied their flashy dress style and super slick dance choreography. Even the Jackson 5 copied the Temptations when first starting out. In this 66' classic we have the "classic 5" line up of temptation singers, referencing the era when the tempts were at their best. David Ruffin leads with super powerful yet melodic vocals backed by tight drums, bass, guitars, brass, pianos heck even tambourines! This was a real house party song back in the old days, and its not hard to see why.
These songs remind me of a time when songs were not all about money, drugs and just wanting girls for sex. These songs seem genuine to me, like the singer of each song truly desires their significant other with honest and respectable intentions. They do this with such a great rhythm and talent that I find it near impossible not to love at least one of these songs. Motown is simply the greatest label in music history and these songs and others are the reason why. Thanks for reading, Happy finals week everyone, God bless and Aristos Axiom!

WHATS EATING GILBERT GRAPE
WARNING: DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT JOHNNY DEPP OR HIS INVOLVEMENT IN A NORMAL ROLE!!
YES I JUST SAID IT!! JOHNNY DEPP PLAYS A NORMAL CHARACTER IN THIS MOVIE. He plays Gilbert, a young adult who is taking care of his overly obese mother, who let herself waste away after Gilbert's father hung himself in their basement. What makes this even harder is he has a mentally retarded brother to take care of also in Leonardo DeCaprio. Yes, two big names, one small movie, just like how most actors get their first acting jobs so don't be surprised Johnny Depp was once at that level.
Anyways, Gilbert meets this woman and her mother who broke down I an RV outside of town who challenge his thinking as to whether he wants to stay and be the caretaker for his mess of a family all of his life. Gilbert ends up hitting his brother in the climax of this conflict and eventually chooses to stick with his family.
The surprising part is when his mother starts to get her life together after meeting this woman that Gilbert has fallen for.
It is on Netflix so EVERYONE should be able to watch it, ITS GREAT!!

I found the overall theme and atmosphere of the series to be great, and being an avid lover the MMORPG genre obviously a lot of things in this series appealed to me. I really enjoyed the idea of being stuck in a game that was impossible to escape from without winning and having real consequences, it really made everything much more dramatic and meaningful in the story.
If I had to pick two of the best things this anime did well for me it would probably be the animation and soundtrack. They both were really well done, and honestly without them being as good as they were this series would have gotten a much lower score from me, and when I say I really enjoyed the soundtrack I mean that I loved it, it was superb.
I think what it really comes down was just the fact that I enjoyed watching it. I can look at the flaws and pick the anime apart pretty easily, but those flaws never really stopped me from enjoying this anime.I really do feel though that it had a lot of potential to be a top tier series, it just made far too many mistakes. It was good because I found it to be enjoyable, but it wasn't great or amazing.
At the end of the day I watch anime because I want something that will entertain me and keep me interested, and I feel that Sword Art Online did a good job at accomplishing that.

Wreck-It Ralph Review
So, when Wreck-it-Ralph first came out, I really wanted to go see it. However, I never had the chance to go. And finally, my friend and I sat down a while ago and watched it. I absolutely loved it! The animation, the story, and the characters are all so much fun. All of the references towards other video games was also enjoyable.
The animation in this movie was also very neat. Some of the characters still moved like they would in the actual video game. I appreciate the creators attention to such detail. I like how Disney has become more interesting in their plot progress on. I have a harder time predicting how the characters will reach the ending with current Disney, which makes it all the more exciting to go watch them. Wreck-It Ralph is a very fun movie, and if you haven't seen it, then I highly suggest it!
CHICAGO
Soooooo yeah, Chicago was so cool and I must say it was one of the best experiences this semester. I had so much fun with friends. Walking around Chicago with these people was soooo much fun; I even got a new nickname; the Weatherman. That story is soooo long that I'll have to tell it to you another time.
The purpose of the trip was to eat and watch film and I must say that is pretty much what we did. We ate great pizza and great beef sandwiches ahhh. Anyhow, there were so many great films and others not so great. One of my favorite film was about a hobo that every night went to the subway and every time transported to a different world through the ads in the subway; while being at those worlds he collected things and then he would take them to his house at the dumpster. At the end the Hobo dies and he looses one of his most prized possessions; a doll, later another kid finds the hobo's doll. This hits that the story will repeat itself, or maybe not. Overall, this was a great experience and it was so much fun. I would totally encourage you to go next year because it is great.
FMA Brotherhood
First of all, I have seen the original FMA and although it was very popular and original, the pacing and conclusion did not sit too well with me. Brotherhood is meant to be a remake of the original, this time sticking to the manga all the way through, but there were people who thought it would spoil the franchise. That myth should be dispelled, as there's only one word to describe this series - EPIC.
The animation in FMA Brotherhood is crisp and very well done (although it does sometimes dip a bit in quality). Compared to the original FMA it's a bit simpler but that's just because the original set a very high standard to follow. The facial emotions of the characters are also perfectly presented. The action scenes are brilliant and VERY well animated, with a variety of alchemy techniques and other talents being displayed nearly every episode. The various battles are consistently exciting to watch, but somehow get even better towards the end of the series.
One of the many good things about this series is that there has been absolutely no filler at all (yes, I'm thinking of Naruto, Inuyasha, etc), which prevents the story from losing momentum. All the episodes are concise and every scene is important as part of the huge plot. The dialogue fully explains everything and is straight to the point. As multiple characters are explored there are lots of side stories, but these are all perfectly intertwined with the main story of the Elric brothers and more often than not directly influence their journey too. Like most anime series, there are things from the manga which have been left out, but these are usually just restricted to comedy moments. There has been one episode which shows a lot of flashbacks of events so far, but that's forgiven as it shows the most epic moments of the series, and also provided us with some history on the father of the Elric brothers.
It is excellent in every aspect and has very little, if anything, that can be called a flaw (maybe rushed character development at first due to the fast pacing, but this quickly subsides). Each episode feels like it's too short, a testimony to how much it draws you in to the story and characters. There are moments which leave you smiling, laughing, sad and simply amazed. Try this anime, it's recommended for absolutely everyone, to newcomers and to those familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist

NBA 2k13 or 14?
So NBA 2k13 was so good and the gameplay was pretty good compared to other games of the same style. When it came out I thought that graphics couldn't get any better. They were so real and life like. That is until NBA 2k14 was released! My Goodness!!! These graphics make it look like you are controlling the real NBA players. Many of the problems of 2k13 have been removed in this next installment and vastly improve its appeal. This next generation of game systems will really blow peoples minds. Mine is dripping out of my ears because of this game.
Talk about realism. This is an actual ingame photo |
Pokemon X&Y (Review)
Okey dokey so finally I have completed the story play of
Pokemon X&Y! And here’s how it breaks down:
Story: It was kind of lacking to be honest. There’s not much
when it comes to the post-champion stage and that’s awfully disappointing –
even if I was super excited to work with Looker again! And then there’s my
group of friends who uh… Kid of think I’m a God. Seriously could they be any
less pathetic? I fell that with a region as huge as Kalos is there could be a
lot more story line to go along with it.
Graphics: As per expected these graphics were supah fab! I L
O V E loved Pokemon-ami! It was so precious and ad;lskgfs. The 3D battles were
sweet too! I loved the mix of traditional artwork with the 3D the most!
So I think I’d give Pokemon X and Y a 7 out of 10. It was
good game and I really enjoyed playing it but there are some things I hope they
build on in a spin off or future game.
GJ-Bu
the most confusing and yet memorable aspect of GJ-bu is that the story is relatively... non-existent. GJ-bu follows a chronological order, spanning a year, and documents the lives and various antics of the members of the GJ (Good Job) society - a school club that seems to have no real purpose other than to eat cakes, drink tea and have fun. This might sound rather dull - and, in lots of similar slice of life anime, such a formula has proved to be dull; but GJ-bu shines in... not trying too hard, I suppose. Or, rather, not trying so hard it becomes unrealistic, contrived and pointlessly melodramatic.
I found GJ-bu an incredibly likable slice of life of anime, which respects its audience and doesn't spell out all its jokes. The script seems slightly more mature than a lot of other comedic anime, and was more subtle in its humour. The contrast between whacky, high-energy characters and mundane situations was enjoyable, and it was fun to watch the characters interact with one another and their environment. The characters might not have been anything special, but the script of this anime seemed so refreshing, and genuinely amusing, to me, that the characters didn't seem as sterotyped as they might have done in a show of lower quality, so this flaw is easily overlooked

SILENCE!!
Okay so don't be quiet, SCREAM!! Because the second book of the Hush Hush series is just about to ente my list of blogs and I can assure you it is just as good as the last.
Nora and Patch are now together, or are they? Patch was made a Guardian Angel in the last book's ending for saving Nora. He was made her guardian angel to be more exact, and the funny thing is that while he is protecting her, he is very distant. Patch is pushing her farther and farther away and spending all his time with her archenemy, Darci Miller. Patch wont even explain why, and Nora fears she is losing her boyfriend who she fell for just months ago.
She later finds out it is because the other angels are looking at Patch for any reason to rip out his wings again because of the enemies that he made, the only thing he can do is distance himself from Nora for now for her own good... Or risk being sent to hell by the Archangels. Yes, it seems the Archangels are not as good as they seem to be, and this is just the tip of the iceberg in this sequel to Hush Hush so go buy it tonight!!

Man of Steel
Thank God for redemption from Superman Returns! Man of Steel really lived up to the hype. I loved how they combined elements from the lesser known Superman movies and put them into this one. Lex Luthor was missing but in many scene you can see his companies name on vehicles or buildings. I really liked the subtlety of some of the jokes that they intertwined into the action scenes. I think the casting for the movie was well done as well. I can't wait to see the next instalment. Granted if Christopher Nolan could of had full influence in this movie it would have been much better, but it is okay cause it was still very well done.
Kokoro Connect
What would you do if you and your friends started randomly switching between each other's bodies? Or if your deepest darkest desires were suddenly brought to the surface, out of your control?
Here we have a series that takes a supernatural storyline, adds some well-written high-school romance and plenty of compelling drama, and pulls it all together into one amazing package. Although some of the ideas may have been done many times before, Kokoro Connect manages to make it fresh and funny, whilst also being surprisingly realistic with how it portrays the effects of each of the phenomena. I felt the drama wasn't overdone at all and every arc introduced interesting new aspects of the story and allowed many sides of the characters to be shown.
Ultimately, Kokoro Connect succeeds in blending its comedic school life shenanigans with more serious emotional moments, a testament to the quality of the writing and the great direction.
I have to say, Kokoro Connect is a must watch and I recommend it to everyone. It was fully entertaining throughout. As the supernatural phenomena start to take their toll on the five main characters - will their friendship be able to survive? Join them on an emotional rollercoaster as you see them handle various unusual situations, all the while learning more about themselves and each other.

30th Blog OH YEAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
As the blogging comes to an end, I realize that I should probably blog on something serious, but no. That is totally not happening. For my final blog I am going to write about adult cartoons because I absolutely adore them and how they push the limits. I understand that this may not suit everyone's fancy, because honestly over half of adult cartoons are violent, crass, and offensive, but that's exactly what I love about them! I love how they push the limit, because I can relate and like to as well.
One thing I really adore about adult cartoons such as Comedy Central's South Park is the crass, unfiltered language and offensive phrases and happenstances. At first, I was completely horrified by some episodes and absolutely could not watch them, but then I came to a realization: some of the things in that show actually bring out some major flaws in my worldview, and it forces me to think, reevaluate, and/ or justify what I believe and why. It's actually a pretty philosophical experience for me. You also gotta be able to lighten up and laugh at yourself, right? Really, though. These things are made to offend, but if you just don't get offended then you have nothing to worry about and can actually see through some of the crap they throw at you on screen.
Another thing I love is the violence. It's terrible, I know, but I love it nonetheless. I think it's really interesting and awful how captivating I find it, but only in Adult Swim's Superjail! I came across the show early freshman year when I was in high school, and there's just something so captivating about it... I think it has something more to do with how trippy the show is than the violence, though. If you can imagine a twisted Willy Wonka who's the warden of a jail, then you can effectively imagine Superjail! in all its gore- filled glory. It also has a dang ugly art style and fugly characters, but I found that I eventually grew to love them. The warden, a messed up Willy Wonka who always invents new ways to keep the inmates trapped in Superjail, Alice, the weird..... Thing (either she's a woman who's a guy or a guy who's a woman) that guards Superjail, Jared, the Warden's ex- alcoholic and ex- gambling accountant, Jailbot, the Warden's loyal robot that keeps order in Superjail, the Twins... Who even knows what they do? Cool subtle rave music plays in the background whenever they come on screen, what's not to love? And last but not least, Jack Knife, the only inmate to ever consistently escape and be re- captured into Superjail (the episode always starts out with Jailbot arresting Jack Knife and taking him to Superjail).
I feel like there's an unmentioned taboo on adult cartoons due to content, but sometimes it can be fun to kick back, relax, and melt a few brain cells. I think some people take these things too seriously (South Park was almost cancelled for making fun of Mohammed, but honestly they make fun of their OWN religion and pretty much everyone else's too), because these things are meant to rustle your jimmies. I dunno, I'd love to hear what other people have to say, but since there's only 10 minutes left to submit blogs I doubt that'll ever happen. Haha happy blogging everyone! Yay 30!

Kenny has always been my favorite because he's so dang cute! I hate how he always died! It's funny how you get used to his muffled talking and can eventually understand him; they don't censor what he says :3

The Avengers Review
The Avengers is a team of heroes that defeats Villain like the red skull, Loki, and many others. The Heroes has Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black widow, Hawkeye and Iron man their will be more heroes that would join the avengers in the next movie. If you have seen so fair Iron man, Captain America, and Thor
Iron Man leads up to The avengers because Nick Furry talk to Tony Stark about the Avengers. Iron Man 2 leads up to Thor because it shows Thor hammer came from asguards to earth on of the agints sees it. Captain America is in the world war 2 and red skull despairs from the Tesseract. Captain America carsh the air plan into the Ice burgee and Captain America woke up from his long sleep. Thor leads up to Loki getting the Tesseract in the Avengers.
So the Avengers head to defeat Loki and Chitauri Destory human kind. Thor and the Hulk pick on each other because they both think that they are stronger then the other. Avengers leads up to Avengers 2 with thanos who is the villain that gave Loki the Army.

Top 3 Music Videos
Last second blog... let's do this.
#3:
I love Michel Gonry's work from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind to his music videos with The White Stripes. I thought that the premise to this video was interesting. It's so simple and somewhat surreal yet very effective in keeping the attention of the view as they try and decipher the video.
#2:
The Shins are one of my favorite bands, so I was excited to see a music video set to one of their songs. The gothic character design was amazing and the upbeat music created a wonder dichotomy between sound and sight.
#1:
I think that it's interesting that this song was originally written by Trent Reznor in his early 30s and then completely repurposed but made wholly more effective by Johnny Cash. The lyrics are very powerful for a man who's reached the end of an incredible career.

Clannad
Clannad is something I would recommend even to a friend who have never watched any kind of anime. There is no need to have a "anime background" in order to enjoy it, it's something everyone, without exceptions, can watch. Despite the genre, age, tastes... There is no gore, violence, profanity, battles... it's just the classical slice-of-life humor mixed with a lovely romance, that proves how strong some stories can be by themselves without any kind of "attractive" or fan-service.
Do you know anyone who's a little depressed and is now reading some kind of self-help book trying to see the "beauty of life"? Recommend to him/her this anime.
If I were to define this series with one word, I'd say it's "charming". It's an anime to be enjoyed, appreciated. All the aspects of it, including art, soundtrack, characters but specially story.
When we were little, we used to find everything amazing, even the most stupid and simple thing was something amusing. We had a hell of a time with friends, laughing for no reason... But, suddenly it's all gone.
All those great mementos are now just vague memories and you're stuck in a boring and endless routine. This are the thoughts of our male protagonist, Tomoya Okazaki. And this little fragment from the first scene gives you already an idea of how the story will progress. However these are also thoughts we all have inside of us, and that's why Clannad's story becomes so realistic at some point, because it's close to reality, a reality some people have experienced themselves.
Don't worry, this sadness isn't the main focus of the story. Clannad is a heartwarming tale. Our protagonist will make many friends along the way, and with them new situations will appear, turning his lonely days into something much more enjoyable, happy, and also mysterious.
Jun Maeda and the screenwriters from Key did a marvelous job with the development of some points from the story, keeping some surprises hidden until the very end.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
The plot is exceptional, with a huge plot twist in the middle. The monologues are very well done, including a really epic monologue near the end of the movie. The amount of thought put into the entirety of the plot is also well done; just by reading the plot summary will automatically suck you in. You will be on the edge of your seat the whole time trying to figure out the reasons for these bizarre events. There are some epic moments that really bring out your emotions. You will, at least one, feel tingles down your spine; for me it happened like 10-20 times. The plot is just that well put together that your body can’t help but to let you feel it epicness. Time travel is AMAZINGLY done in this movie. Your mind will be blown by the end of this movie because of time travel. One point in argument is that there are loose ends to the movie. This, of course, is part of the story because it will tie in with the seventh light novel of Haruhi (This movie being the fourth), so the movie automatically is open to a sequel, which of course is a really good thing.
The art is amazing, just as good, if not better, than the TV series. There is a fair share of flashy lights and warping colors when time travel or alien sequences occur. The art is wonderfully beautiful at Kyon’s monologue near the end; trust me when you see it you’ll know. The music is of course amazing, the OP is Bouken Desho Desho, sung by Hirano Aya (Haruhi) and is the OP to Haruhi season one, and the ED is Yasashii Boukyaku sung by Minori Chihara (Yuki) which is peaceful sad melody. The overall OST is amazing and I would definitely get it since it combines sad music with upbeat music when Kyon makes a breakthrough in trying to solve the mysterious occurrence.
Characters are at their best in this movie. Kyon is the central character and makes the biggest change in this movie. He comes to an ultimate realization of everything he was living for: Does he like the life with aliens, espers, and time travelers? Nagato Yuki would be another major character because her life, not as a humanoid interface, but as a human grows. She gains a little bit of emotions and is able to realize her true feelings. Even in the end, Kyon realizes that he has never been thankful everything that Nagato has done for him and ultimately saves her. Even minor characters play a big role, for example Taniguchi, who is ultimately the one who saves Kyon from absolute despair. Haruhi in the distorted world is just a normal person, but without her help, Kyon would not have been saved. The characters are amazingly done and you will love the way they are all presented.
Overall, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is a plot filled, plot twisting, emotional giving, character changing, enjoyment giving, plot loving, mind blowing, time traveling, time distorting, epic bringing, ultimate awesomeness, wonderfully put together, amazingly amazing story. There is only one scene in the movie that is particularly different from the light novel; this would be when Kyon and Asahina encounter Nagato at the school early in the morning (you'll know when), the movie has the scene take place outside the school gates, where in the novel it takes place inside the clubroom; however, I would say putting that particular scene outside was a good call. Fans and haters alike will not be able to deny that this movie is amazing and will love every moment of it. As I said many times before, Kyon’s monologue near the end is wonderfully epic and you will love every moment of it with a passion. Your two hours and forty minutes will not be in vain in any manner, shape, or form. The DVD will come out in 8 to 11 months and you WILL rewatch it because it is just THAT good, I wouldn’t be surprised if I watch it two to three more times. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is a wonderful experience and might be the best anime this 2010 year.
