Wilfred
One of my favorite shows is the American remake of a Australian show called Wilfred. Most of you have probably at least heard of it. It is about a man, Ryan, sees his neighbors dog as a man in a dog suit. It is very funny but most of the humor doesn't come from Ryan and Wilfred's situation. It's the shenanigan's they get into. You actually forget that he is a man in a dog suit relatively quickly.
The writers have done a great job with that. Once you just accept the situation and forget that Wilfred is played by a man in a dog suit, it opens the door for the writers to do some really dramatic things with the show. This show makes you cry almost as much ad it makes you laugh.
It is also a really smart show. It's has a lot of twists and makes you think a lot. It seems like a silly show but it makes you think more than most shows.
As far as humor goes, it can go a bit far at some points but I still enjoy the show and I wouldn't let that stop you from watching it if you are interested in it.
