Tales of the Feels

    
     So, as a Tales fan I try to make it a point to actually beat each Tales game (something which I have yet to do) but just before college move-in weekend I finally beat Tales of the Abyss for the first time (I know, I'm late to this party). But anyway! I am extremely emotional when it comes to games. Especially this series. Each one I've beaten, I've cried like a little baby at the end and roll around questioning my existence.
     Everytime I beat a game and cry at the sad ending I think "Omg, this is the best/saddest ending ever" and so on. This one may not have had the saddest ending, but it was a very... Hallmark-movie ending per say? I hate Hallmark movies, but this was a sad-happy ending.

     I won't spoil it even though it's nearly a seven year old game.You start off as a duke's son and he's annoying and whiny but then he meets this chick and they're thrown into the outside world where your mind literally explodes as basically nobody is who they say they are and then the world's being destroyed. It makes more sense if you actually play it, I'm terrible at explaining things. Even if it may have taken me 50 hours to beat it was worth it.
     The graphics aren't super amazing, but for when it came out in like, 2006 it was awesome sauce. The JRPG style and the hilarious animated faces make it a lot of fun. The small amount of 2D animated cut scenes are superb and I kinda wish they would've put more in, especially since an anime was later adapted from it. They did re-release it for the 3DS but I don't have one so this is all based on the PS2 version.
     The voice acting is spot-on too; of course I may or may not stalk voice actors in everything they do, but I love hearing say, Ichigo from Bleach in this game.

     This series is worth a try, there are tons of Tales games out there so it's not hard to find a place to just jump right in.
