The True Stories of Ron Howard

Ron Howard may best be known for his role as Opie in The Andy Griffith Show in which he does a good job acting, but I believe that he supersedes his acting talent with his directing.
Now granted not all Ron Howard movies are really all that great but anytime you pair Ron Howard with a true story something magical happens.  The first movie that was based on a true story to be directed by Howard was the movie Apollo 13 I have already stated my love for this movie in a previous blog post, but it bears repeating that all space scenes were done in actual zero gravity! (see my older post on Apollo 13 for details)  The next film Howard directed that was based on a true story was A Beautiful Mind.  This movie was good enough to take home 4 Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director.  His next true story film was the movie Cinderella Man.  This movie was nominated three Oscars and two Golden Globes.
After that Howard directed the movie Frost/Nixon which was nominated for 5 Oscars, and now Howard has directed a fifth true story film called Rush. I have seen this movie and I can assure you that Ron Howard lives up to his previous standard of films based on true stories.

This evidence proves that if you give Ron Howard a true story to work with the result is pure genius.
